Nujoom Alghanem is an Emirati poet and film director who is an active part of the UAE cultural scene. Starting out as a journalist and having studied television and film production in Canada and Australia, she has published six collections of poetry including the recent Malaikat Al Ashwaaq Al Baeeda (Angels of Distant Longing).
