Sultan Al-Qassemi was elected as the chairman of Young Arab Leaders – UAE chapter (YAL) in July 2008; YAL is an independent, not-for-profit organization, founded in 2004 whose mission is to assist in the empowerment of the youth of the Arab world and develop the human capital of the region.
Sultan Al-Qassemi is also the managing director and partner, and member of the investment committee of a private family office, with a focus on proprietary assets listed in international equity markets. In addition, he is the Chairman of Barjeel Securities, Dubai. He has served as board member with a number of investments companies in the region including India, the Kingdom of Jordan and the Sultanate of Oman.
Sultan Al-Qassemi is columnist for MoneyWorks in both Arabic and English as well as the recently launched The National newspaper in Abu Dhabi. He holds a Masters Degree in Global Banking and Finance from the European Business School in London and a Bachelors Degree in International Business Administration from the American University of Paris.
